In light of bad publicity from things like the torture report, the CIA has decided to share thousands of President’s Daily Briefs (PDB) from the 1960s. The PDB documents are the reports given to the President each day that sum up the important things he needs know intelligence-wise.

The CIA was reluctant to release these for fear of letting people know what the process for selecting information to give to the President is.

While nothing even remotely close to current information is going to be released (obviously), these documents are still cool for anyone interested in researching the intelligence community, history, or a number of other things.

The article is relatively long, but it’s definitely worth reading. Check it out and let me know what you think!
