I’d like to congratulate Victor on winning the first giveaway for 10 signed thrillers! Victor runs an audibook blog (theaudiobookblog.com) that I highly recommend you check out.

For everyone who entered but didn’t win, don’t worry – another giveaway for 10 more signed thrillers is set to begin in the next few days!

I’d like to thank everyone who entered the first giveaway, as well as the authors who worked with me to provide the signed copies. The amount of kindness everyone has shown has been nothing short of amazing.

To be honest, I had no idea what to expect when I set out to put these giveaways together. Would other authors be willing to send me signed copies of their book? Then, would anyone actually enter the giveaway?

The answer to both was an overwhelming yes. As of just a few weeks ago, I had only a handful of subscribers and 0 followers for my newly created Facebook page. After the 1st giveaway, though, I now have over 400 subscribers and 50+ Facebook followers. That’s nothing short of amazing!

I owe a huge thank you to each of the authors who worked with me for these giveaways. I’d like to share a little bit about my interactions with each one. Not only are they all great people, but I think it’s important for any other aspiring author out there to know that connecting with other authors is not as difficult or as intimidating as you might think.

Robert Bidinotto is a phenomenal guy. His website is full of resources for other authors and he’s one of the warmest, friendliest people I’ve spoken with. Not only was he excited to provide a signed copy of his book Hunter, but he was also very encouraging and helped me to promote the giveaway.

Brandon Zenner is also a really cool guy. He didn’t hesitate to provide me with a copy of The Experiment of Dreams and also helped promote the giveaway. Not only that, but Brandon also went out of his way to let me know that Amazon now has a giveaway system set up, too. I had no idea, but the information will definitely come in handy for future giveaways!

DV Berkom is an awesome lady. Her blog is a lot of fun and she’s just as open and friendly as you would expect from some of her posts. She also helped promote the giveaway and went out of her way to send me a signed copy of her book Cargo. I actually just finished reading Cargo a few days ago and can honestly tell you it was nothing short of fantastic. I intend to post a review of it next week, but you don’t need to wait for it. Go check the book out today!

Brett Battles is a really successful author that I was honestly a little intimidated to contact. I’m really glad I did, though. He’s really friendly and was eager to help – he not only sent me an autographed copy of The Unleashed, but he also helped promote the giveaway on his Facebook page. On top of that, he was really encouraging to me as a new author and wished me the best of luck.

Kory Shrum is absolutely wonderful to talk to. She was incredibly excited about the giveaway and not only sent me an autographed copy of her book Dying for a Living (a great read if you haven’t checked it out), but she also provided me with several codes for free copies of her book Dying Light. If you’re interested in checking it out, just shoot me an email ([email protected]) and I’ll be happy to send one of the codes your way as long as supplies last.

Carter Wilson is hilarious. I first heard about him in an interview where he talked about holding a contest for the most creative use of expletives in a subject line. His book The Comfort of Black will be in the next giveaway.

Matthew Fitzsimmons is one of the most popular authors right now. His career is exploding and his book The Short Drop has been plastered all over Amazon lately. I honestly thought he would be way too busy to talk to me, but he took the time out of his day not only to send me a copy of the book, but also to tell me how great the giveaway looked and to wish me the best of luck.

Leo Maloney is an incredibly interesting guy. He used to be a black operative for a clandestine government agency before he started writing books. I first heard Leo speak at a writers’ conference a few years ago. When I contacted him about the giveaway, he was not only more than willing to send me a signed copy of his book Arch Enemy, but he actually spoke with me at length over the phone about the contest, my book, and writing in general.

Barry Eisler is one of my favorite authors. I’ve been reading his John Rain series for years and absolutely love it. I had no idea what to expect when I reached out to Barry – honestly figured I wouldn’t get a reply. I was wrong, though. Barry was incredibly friendly and sent me an autographed copy of his newest book The God’s Eye View for the giveaway.

Michael Mucci is a new author whose debut novel A Season to Kill was published last year. His book is going to be featured in the giveaway that’s set to start later this week. Michael is a really cool, adventurous guy who has traveled all over the world. Not only was I ecstatic to have the chance to talk to him, but he even asked to read my book! Needless to say, that gave me a huge boost of confidence and I’m really excited to see what he thinks!

Sean Campbell is one of the nicest, most generous people I’ve met. He and his brother, Dean, write thrillers together. They live in England so, when I contacted them, I had honestly hoped they’d be willing to send me a signed bookplate. Instead, Sean offered to sign a copy of their book Ten Guilty Men and send it to me. He even covered the international postage, which I know wasn’t cheap! Their book Ten Guilty Men is also set to be in the giveaway later this week, so be sure to keep an eye out for it!

SL Shelton is an easygoing guy who was more than happy not only to send me a signed copy of his book Predator’s Game, but also to help share the giveaway, too. I actually contacted him through Facebook and he got back to me really quickly. Not only was he super friendly, but he’s really just a fun guy to talk with, too.

Aaron Mahnke is the host of the popular podcast Lore. In addition to the podcast, he also writes supernatural thrillers. Since his podcast is so popular, I wasn’t sure how difficult Aaron would be to get in touch with, but he actually responded to all of my emails really quickly. He’s a really nice guy – exactly how he comes across in the podcast. His book Grave Suspicion is also set to be in the giveaway later this week.

If any aspiring writers (Or anyone else for that matter!) would like to learn more about how I put the giveaways together, or if you’d like to have your work included in a future giveaway, please feel free to shoot me an email! You can get in touch with me at [email protected].
